Raekwon - Only Built 4 Cuban Linx II (2009)

Here it is, at last. The sequel, what, 9 years in the making, finally came to retail fruition and it doesn't disappoint. Ghostface, GZA, Inspectah Deck, and Beanie Sigel kill their spots on here. The beats are from The RZA, J-Dilla, Pete Rock, Dr. Dre, Marley Marl, and Scram Jones among others. Can't lose with that type of production team. This is almost a perfect album. The only flaws, in my opinion, are that some of the samples have been used and flipped before, Raekwon doesn't have the energy he could have, and "Walk With Me", "State Of Grace" and "Criminology '09" aren't on here.

But seriously cop this shit. Listen to it from start to finish.

Tha Dogg Pound - Dogg Food (1995)

Damn, I remember gettin' this shit through my many Columbia House scams (12 CDs for $0.01, spiggas!!!) back in '97 or so. The Mexicans I hung out with said it was "too techno". This is why you never listen to Mexicans about hip-hop. For further proof, listen to Mr. Knight Owl or Mr. Capone-E. Muwahaha, jus playin.

Nah, anyways, this was Death Row G-Funk in its prime, back when Kurupt could actually rhyme.
